Frequently Asked Questions

We already have SAP, what can Infoborders do for us?

SAP is designed to manage internal business processes and is based on best practices.  Virtually every implementation of SAP requires some degree of customization to meet specific business process requirements – this is what often makes businesses more competitive.  Your trading partners, whether they are using SAP or not, likely, have different internal requirements reflected in their business processes. SAP was not designed to provide end-to-end process visibility that includes your customer or vendor processes.

Infoborders is built to provide visibility into inter-companies business processes like order-to-cash that could reduce or eliminate problems like vendor chargebacks, DSO, long invoice repayment.  All companies we interviewed experience one or more of these problems because of their inability to use their ERP system to track customer processes.

What changes do I need to make to take advantage of Infoborders?

Implementing Infoborders will require very little changes, if any at all.  Infoborders uses a copy of the data you already exchange with your partners.  Your partners will not see any difference.  Your ERP system will not be affected.  Most implementations will only need a setup of a communication channel to upload data into Infoborders.  If you are currently using a value added network (VAN) to exchange electronic documents with your partners the process is even simpler - your VAN provider can do all the hard work by configuring carbon-copy directly to an Infoborders mailbox.

Once data is received, our staff will conduct an analysis of your data and trading partner implementation guides to help you select or customize end-to-end processes, reports and type of notifications.
